Thanks for joining me on my writing journey! Welcome to the my new author blog. I can’t wait to see what worlds we will discover together in the future. But introductions first: I’m Vivette. I love to dream about magical realms, discover new places around the world and soak up different cultures. Both my day job as well as personal travels send me around the world frequently (yet my miles still don’t get me out of Economy…). All that time on planes gives me the perfect opportunity to read, hear my neighbor’s life story or catch the latest blockbuster – until I’ve seen them all and am back to Option 1 & 2. When I’m not travelling, then I can usually be found trying out something new with family or friends or slumming it with Netflix on my awesome sofa.
Most fun thing my friends and I cooked up in the last three months? We signed up for a Halloween masquerade. Before the event, we spent an entire afternoon in a charity dress shop trying on all their outrageous quincenera dresses. We could have passed for anything from a puffy mermaid to a pink-zebra-stripes circus directrice. It was a blast and just the type of shenanigans we love cooking up. You’ll probably hear about a couple more now and then on this blog. Any great adventures, your friends and you have been on recently? We’re always open to being inspired 😉
As an author, I tend to scribble into old-school text books as much as I storyboard on post its, only to have them peel off the wall and out of order (sigh!). But I’m sure you’ll hear more about my writing quirks in coming posts. For now I’ll only say – nice to meet you. Hope to see you again soon.
